Join us for the exclusive Director’s Preview of our newest exhibition, GENERATION WEALTH by Lauren Greenfield, a 25-year-long inquiry into the pervasive influence of money, status, and celebrity in America and abroad.
The first major retrospective of Greenfield’s work, the exhibition weaves together stories about affluence, beauty, body image, competition, corruption, fantasy, and excess into a sweeping narrative that questions the distance between value and commodity in a globalized consumerist culture. GENERATION WEALTH by Lauren Greenfield was originally shown at and created by the Annenberg Space for Photography.
Lauren Greenfield, who will be our honored guest at this special preview, was the recipient of the ICP Young Photographer Infinity Award in 1997. Her first major show, Fast Forward, debuted at the International Center for Photography later that same year. Greenfield was also the ICP Spotlights honoree in January 2016.
