Whether you are an aspiring or seasoned collector, please join us for an exciting and informative Collector’s Forum on Tuesday, September 26 at the ICP Museum. The evening will feature an all-star panel of industry professionals who will share their unique perspectives on the current state of the photography market and what today’s savvy collector should know before buying.
This lively discussion will be moderated by Alice Sachs Zimet, founder and president of Arts + Business Partners, who began collecting photography in 1985. She currently serves as the chair of the Photography Collections Committee at the Harvard Art Museums, a board member of the Magnum Foundation, a member of ICP’s Acquisitions Committee, and on the faculty at the ICP School, where she reaches classes on collecting.
Panelists will include:
- Erin Barnett, Director of Exhibitions and Collections, ICP
- Emily Bierman, Assistant Vice President, Head of Department, Sotheby’s Photographs
- James Danziger, Owner and Founder, Danziger Gallery
The program will begin at 7:15 PM and run approximately 45 minutes, with ample time to speak with the panelists over refreshments before and after. You will also be able to view the ICP Museum exhibition GENERATION WEALTH by Lauren Greenfield, which opens to the public on September 20.
