Join Robert Nickelsberg for a lecture at the School at ICP.

Robert Nickelsberg is a photojournalist who promulgates conflicts in Afghanistan, Kashmir, Iraq, India, and Sri Lanka. Nickelsberg’s book, A Distant War, covers the many facets of Afghanistan's recent history, going back to the late '80s. His penetrating photographs and illuminating testimony are accompanied by the writing of regional experts.

Nickelsberg relocated from New Delhi to New York in 2000 and continues to document global conflict. He has received grants from the Dart Center for Journalism and Trauma and the South Asia Journalists Association. Nickelsberg serves as an advisory board member of the Kashmir Initiative at the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy at Harvard University.
